A Vashon Island Magical History Tour - January 12, 2027

Ever since Jeff Hoyt invented fake captions to historic Vashon photos during a segment from the original Church of Great Rain show, he’s gone looking for laughs within the archives of the Vashon Heritage Museum’s photo and newspaper collection. For the past three years, Jeff has entertained capacity crowds at the museum’s gala fundraiser, spoofing Vashon headlines and photos from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

Three years ago, Jeff also re-enacted the first infomercial in broadcast history when he performed an hour long radio address from 1926 that shamelessly sold Vashon Island’s many attributes.

For “A Vashon Island Magical HISTORY Tour,” he’ll collate the best material from his popular gala shows into a single ‘supercut’ designed for maximum laughter. Then, to top it off, Jeff will appear to change history and then give an extensive glimpse into what the Vashon of today would look like had a bridge to the mainland actually been built back in 1958. (The effort failed to reach the governor’s desk by only a single vote.)
